Paul Hellyer served as Canada’s Minister of Defense in the 1960s, overseeing the country’s military forces throughout the Cold War era – and after he left, he openly claimed that humans are not alone in the cosmos and that some extraterrestrial visitors reside here on Earth.
Is this a dream? Is it true that someone is keeping an eye on us? In 2013, RT interviewed a man who claims that UFOs are a legitimate business.
Sophie Shevardnadze: I’m Sophie Shevardnadze, and I’m Our guest today is the Honorable Paul Hellyer, a former Canadian defense minister who thinks that extraterrestrial life exists on Earth.
It’s wonderful to have you on our program. Why do you claim that UFOs are just as genuine as planes passing overhead? Because I know they are.
Paul Hellyer: In fact, they’ve been visiting our planet for thousands of years, and one of the cases that would most interest you if you gave me two or three minutes to answer is that during the Cold War, in 1961, there were about 50 UFOs in formation flying south from Russia across Europe, and Supreme Allied Command was very concerned and was about to press the “Panic” button when they turned around and flew back over the North Pole.
They decided to investigate, and after a three-year examination, they came to the conclusion that at least four species had been visiting our planet for thousands of years.
We have a long history of UFOs, and there has been a lot more activity in the last few decades since we invented the atomic bomb, and they are very concerned about that and the fact that we might use it again, and because the Cosmos is a unity, and it affects not just us but other people in the Cosmos, they are very afraid that we might be stupid enough to start using atomic weapons again, which would be very bad for us and for them.
SS: Why would scientists not confirm the facts if they exist? No credible scientist has ever officially confirmed proof of extraterrestrial contact.
PH: I’m afraid they’ll have to go to great lengths not to find out. Even if they did a tenth of the research I’ve done over the previous eight years, they’d be just as persuaded as I am. They could do it even quicker, I mean. It might take a little longer if they didn’t have any military experience, but there are so many wonderful books that tell these stories and they’ve been verified; the sightings have been verified by multiple witnesses as well as radar, and they’ve landed in various locations around the world, including Russia.
There’s a famous instance there; I don’t recall the location, but it was extensively publicized at the time, and a man published a book about it, which the French acquired the rights to so it wouldn’t be spread… There’s just so much proof if somebody wants to take the time to conduct some research and study.
Some individuals are intrigued and willing to invest the effort, while others just dismiss it as a “dream.” Since I went public with this, I’ve gotten about three or four letters a week from individuals all over the globe, from people who’ve seen sightings, some of whom have been on the ships, and some of whom have been transferred to another planet.
This information… it’s top-secret in the sense that governments don’t talk about it, but if you listen to whistleblowers and individuals who have worked in the sector and know what’s going on, there’s a lot of information out there, and getting your hands on it doesn’t take long.
SS: You also said that individuals send you emails three to five times a week and that they’ve been abducted or had extraterrestrial contacts. Do they truly describe the aliens’ appearance? Everyone is curious – how will I know if I encounter an extraterrestrial and he abducts me?
PH: The first thing you should figure out is how many species there are. I used to assume there were two to twelve of them. The Apollo astronaut Edgar Mitchell, who came to Toronto a few years ago and had dinner with us, agreed there were somewhere between two and twelve, but the latest reports I’ve been getting from various sources say there are about 80 different species, some of which look exactly like us and could walk down the street without you knowing it.
They are what we refer to as “Nordic blondes,” as well as the Tall Whites that worked with the US Air Force in Nevada. They were able to get away with it because a couple of their females dressed as nuns went shopping in Las Vegas and were undetected.
I have a buddy who spotted one of the men strolling down the street and recognized him as being unusual, which he did. Then there are the Short Greys, who are the ones you see in most cartoons. They have very-very skinny limbs and legs, are extremely short, just a little over 5 feet, and have a huge head and wide brown eyes.
However, there are different species, and you must understand that they are all distinct. If you saw the Short Greys, you’d probably think, “Oh, I wonder if she’s from Denmark or somewhere.” If you saw one of the Nordic Blondes, you’d probably think, “Oh, I wonder if she’s from Denmark or somewhere.”
SS: So, in terms of good and mean, are these organisms you’re describing all different? How are they, are some of them friendly and benevolent and others nasty? Are they coming to help humans on Earth or to harm them? PH: It’s a tough issue to answer since they all have various objectives.
While it’s true that all of us on Earth should have the same agenda, you can’t claim that Russia, China, and the United States all have the same agenda at all times. I believe that almost all are benign and kind and that they desire to assist humanity; but, one or two species may not. That’s one of the things I’m looking into right now, to figure out who they are, what they’re up to, and what their true intentions are.
SS: Where did these alien beings originate from, and how did they arrive here, on Earth?
PH: They’re from all over the place. For a long time, I only knew of people from various star systems, such as the Pleadis, Zeta Reticuli, and a few others…
But in the last few months, I’ve met [those] who have made me aware that there are some in our star system, and that there are extraterrestrials who live on a planet called Andromedia, which is one of Saturn’s moons, and that there are others on Venus, and that they may be interacting – I suspect they are because there is a “Federation” of these people with rules.
One of the regulations, for example, is that they don’t interfere with our affairs unless we allow them to – which is presumably one of the reasons we haven’t seen them much until lately…
SS: But, what do you mean? There are a lot of people who want to interact with them, a lot of people who want to see them and learn more about them.
Is it necessary for them to have a specific invitation in order to connect with us? What does it imply when they say “they don’t want to meddle in our affairs”?
PH: They don’t want to tell us how to run our lives; they accept that this is our planet and that we have the right to run it; however, they are very concerned: they don’t believe we are good stewards of our planet; we’re clear-cutting our forests, polluting our rivers and lakes, dumping sewage into the oceans, and doing all sorts of things that good stewards of their homes should not be doing. They don’t like it, and they’ve made their feelings known.
In reality, they have sent a warning to us. SS: What do you mean? PH: This has come from a variety of places… SS: What have they done, how have they made it clear?
PH: They’ve spoken to a few folks. One of the guys I spoke with about a month ago, he and his brother, interacted with them in Peru in 1974. They were transported to Andromedia by teleportation.
They were informed what the locals believe, that we are doing havoc on our world and that something terrible would happen unless we wake up and alter our ways. We spend too much time fighting each other, too much money on military expenditures, and not enough on feeding the poor, caring for the homeless, and the sick, and we pollute our waters and air, and we experiment with exotic weapons like thermonuclear and atomic weapons, which have such devastating effects on Earth and other parts of the Cosmos.
They don’t like it, which is why they want to work with us and teach us other methods, but only with our permission, I believe. They work through individuals, attempting to identify those who will not be terrified to death by them, as they are capable of frightening you to death. One of the cases I’m familiar with was with the Tall Whites in Nevada, where the US airmen working with them were terrified of them, and one, Charles Hall, rescued the daughter of one of the Tall Whites’ high-ranking members, and as a result, became very good friends with the mother, and they had a wonderful relationship as soon as they could trust each other.
He produced a book called “Millennial Hospitality” about it, in which he explains how you go through these stages of being terrified, but then, once you develop trust and a functioning connection, you can have the same sort of relationship as you would with someone on Earth.
SS: But here’s what I’m thinking: why aren’t you frightened of repercussions if you’re disclosing their presence, which is clearly not what they want, because they’re hiding? You’re clearly expressing that they’re here, among us, and you’re informing me about all the different species that exist…
PH: They’ve arrived among us, and I’m not worried because, in most situations, they’re light years ahead of us in terms of technology, and we’ve learned a lot from them. Many of the things we use now came from them, such as led lights, microchips, and Kevlar jackets, and we could acquire a lot more from their technology, especially in the sectors of medical and agriculture, if we went about it quietly.
However, I believe that some of our people are more interested in obtaining military technology, which I believe is misguided, and it is one of the things that we will have to address, because we will all have to work together, everywhere in the world.
SS: You referenced military technology, as well as technological exchanging and bartering between foreigners and government officials in the United States. I’d want to ask you, as a former Canadian Defense Minister, if interplanetary war is a possibility.
Should we form a Star Wars force to defend ourselves against an invasion or anything similar?
PH: I believe it is possible, but only if we fire down every UFO that enters our airspace without first asking who they are and what they want. We started scrambling planes right away, attempting to shoot them down, but their technology was advanced enough that we couldn’t get away with it, at least not for long. Rather than developing our own Star Wars to protect ourselves against them, I believe we should work with the benign species that make up the vast majority of the population and work together, relying heavily on them and cooperating, so that we can all contribute something at the same time; I don’t believe there’s any point in us developing a galactic force that would tempt us to rid the galaxy of us.
SS: What do you think will happen if people start believing in the existence of aliens on Earth? Things will undoubtedly change, and our lives will no longer be the same.
PH: I’m hoping that’s true. I’m all for full transparency, and in the book, I’m writing, I’m going to make a strong case for it, outlining some of the reasons why we need to know and have a right to know. If we don’t find out what’s going on and work together to make life more livable for all of us, as well as with our neighbors from other planets, our future as a species, and by that I mean all of the species on the planet, might be jeopardized.
SS: Still, I’m wondering why our planet is in such a mess if they’ve been here for such a long period, and if they’re interested in assisting mankind, as you say. If you want to assist someone, you simply help them, right? You don’t wait for them to ask you to help them, do you?
PH: I believe that parents sometimes tell their children, “This is what you should do,” but it doesn’t imply that they will. The Cosmos is built on the principle of free will. We’re given the opportunity to make errors, to make bad decisions, and I think what disturbs some of us is that we’ve made too many bad decisions and not enough good ones.
So we’ll have to start shifting our priorities and stop spending so much time and effort on weapons to kill or control one other and instead focus on ways to assist each other have a better life and a more just society, as well as a healthier lifestyle.
It’s possible, but it’s a tall order, and we haven’t done it yet, when healthcare is better, food distribution is better, the air and water are cleaner, and all of the other things that need to be done are done. If we just get together and, as we say, row in the right direction, in the same direction, it’s possible, but it’s a tall order, and we haven’t done it yet. My theory is that we must do it, and we must do it immediately.
NOTE:
Paul Theodore Hellyer PC (August 6, 1923 – August 8, 2021) was a Canadian engineer, politician, writer, conspiracy theorist and commentator. He was the longest serving member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada at the time of his death.[2]
Hellyer was born and raised on a farm near Waterford, Ontario, the son of Lulla Maude (Anderson) and Audrey Samuel Hellyer.[3][4] Upon completion of high school, he studied aeronautical engineering at the Curtiss-Wright Technical Institute of Aeronautics in Glendale, California, graduating in 1941. While studying, he also obtained a private pilot’s licence.[5]
After graduation, Hellyer was employed at Fleet Aircraft in Fort Erie, Ontario, which was then making training craft for the Royal Canadian Air Force as part of Canada’s war effort in World War II. He attempted to become an RCAF pilot himself, but was told no more pilots were necessary, after which he joined the Royal Canadian Artillery and served in Canada as a gunner for the duration of the war.[5]
Hellyer earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto in 1949.[5]
